Reasons to watch: Bitcoin is the first crypto currency. It was created by Satoshi Nakomoto (an anonymous person or group) as a peer to peer cash transaction protocol that is decentralized. Whether it was by coincidence or by design, bitcoin is a  good candidate as sound money (digital gold). Bitcoin is seeing widespread adoption in 2020/2021 by retail and institutions. 

Risk: China recently banned bitcoin (although they have banned it several times before). Who knows if other countries won't do the same? Regulatory risk remain one of the issues.

On.. Not all DCA are Created Equal

What do we do if we have a stack of cash to deploy? I believe that for an asset that is predicted to go up in the long term, Lump Sum is the way.  Having said that, and I do have a stack of cash sitting on the sidelines at the moment, I chose to DCA ( Dollar Costs Average ) instead.  Mathematically speaking, I think Lump Sum gives a better financial return. But it is not all about the total returns. DCA means that I will a stack of cash available in case of an emergency. It is also more fun to deploy cash over time.  So DCA is better, that is settled then? It is in general but there are still some variations in how you can deploy your DCA. On... 2024

2025 marks the starting of the eight year of my investing. 2024 is a bumper year for me ( see below Figure ). My Net Worth broke All Time High in 2024 with a growth of 45% ( Largest growth so far ). The earlier part was pretty good and trending upwards until circa April 2024. It then started to dump and luckily reversed in December. ROI for my Portfolio is 7.9% ( ROI since Inception ). For the latest Portfolio Updates, see  Portfolio Updates .  In 2024, I started to include shorter term trades after listening to the 'Top Traders Unplugged' podcasts. They recommended diversifying across time frames to capture all possible upsides. The short term trades have a holding period of days to roughly a month.
